The meeting will be held upstairs at the Callie club. Times are 7:00-08:00PM for LTP coaches and 8:00-09:30PM for Squirt and above. LTP coaches are welcome to stay.

Choose one of April 14th & 15th at St. Michael School, 431 Hamilton St. from 6:30 - 9:30 pm.
All parents, coaches and zone LTP coordinators are encouraged to attend. This is not for the players. Please bring indoor runners and ball gloves.


Community Sport - Ongoing Participation Coaching Clinic(Replaces old Level I)

Congratulations to the new and continuing executive members on their election/re-election. Terry Fries was elected President. New members are Tim Harrison Vice-President, Bob Chmielnicki - Treasurer, Doris Harrison - PeeWee Coordinator. In addition Dave Turta has moved to the equipment coordinator position. A big thank you to retiring members Arlene Slimmon and Jeff Romanuk who have served on the board for two years. The positions of Registrar, Learn to Play coordinator, Midget coordinator are currently vacant. If you are interested please contact Terry Fries at 586-5532.

Bantam Lazers Team finishes fifth at Nationals, Archived Feb. 2nd, 2010

Congratulations to the ten players from the Bantam A team who were joined by a player each from the Saskatoon Lasers, Weyburn Blizzards, and Watrous Royals for making the National playoffs and finishing fifth(the highest ever ranking for a Saskatchewan team). Two players were named to the all star team: Alex Baylak as an outfielder and Megan Gurski from the Saskatoon Lasers as pitcher.

Lazers Annual General Meeting, Archived 3 Nov 2009

The Lazers zone annual general meeting will be on Wed. Oct. 28th, 06:30PM at the Tartan club - upper level. The positions of Vice-President, Secretary, and Registrar which are two year terms starting on odd years are up for election this year. All other positions, excluding President and Treasurer are one year terms, and are up for annual election. The President and Treasurer position will be up for election for the last year of a two year term.

Lazer Winter Camps, Archive Feb. 12th, 2009

This year the Lazers are holding winter camps for our Squirt, PeeWee and Bantam divisions from January 11th through March 8th. These camps are designed to develop the skills of players who are interested in playing softball at a more competitive level and are a great opportunity for our players to stay "hands on" with softball in the off season - honing their catching, throwing and hitting techniques.
- For Squirt Lazer players (born in 1997 or 1998), the camp runs from 7:00 to 9:00 pm Sunday evenings at St. Gabriel School. To register a player or for more information, please contact Jamie Watson by or at 761-2203.

Congratulations to Erna Wiks Award Winners Geoff Eger and Rick Shaw, Archived June 30th


Rick Shaw(left) and Geoff Eger received the RMSL Erna Wiks award for the Lazers zone this year. They have a long history with the Lazers zone, coaching countless teams, running the Winter Gals camp from 2001-2007 that developed the skills of hundreds of Lazers over the years, and started the original Lazers web site. They coached the first Lazers teams to win Gold Medals provincially in 2002(Rick Bantam A, Geoff Squirt A) as well as the Bantam A team that won the Western Canadian Championship in 2003. Geoff served as Player/Development Coordinator from 2004-2006 and while serving created the coaches manual that is currently on the web site. He continues to coach in Regina Midget Softball and is on the Bantam A Nationals committee. Rick continues to coach, assisting with last years provincial champion Bantam B team and with this years Bantam A team.
